# Render linework with display mode overrides

> Shade the glass in a Rhino line drawing so the image model knows exactly where the glazing is

A plain line drawing doesn't say which panels are glass, so image models guess. Override the display mode of just the glazing in Rhino so it reads as shaded panes, and the render puts clear glass and lit interiors exactly where you drew them.

## How it works

1. **Linework view with glass shaded** holds a Pen-mode capture where every object matching *glass, glazing, window* is drawn in a shaded mode instead.
2. **Render (Nano Banana Pro)** turns it into a twilight photograph. The prompt says what the shaded panes are: *render the shaded panes as large clear glazed sliding doors and windows with warm interior light glowing through them*.

## Tips

* The same trick works for any material the model keeps getting wrong: water, planting, a feature wall.
* Change the keywords on the Rhino node to match the layer or material names in your model.

## Use your own model

The image input holds a capture from our demo Rhino model, so the workflow runs as it is. To use your own model, open Rhino with the [Runchat plugin](https://docs.runchat.com/plugins/rhino.md) signed in, set up your view, and run the node marked **(optional) Rhino**. Then drag its screenshot into the image input. The scripts use only the standard display modes and match layers or materials by the keywords in their inputs, so they work on any model.
