Team owners with a Pro or Enterprise subscription can restrict which AI models are available to team members using the model whitelist.
Enabling the whitelist
From the team page, scroll to the Model Whitelist section and toggle it on. When disabled, team members can use any model available in Runchat. When enabled, members can only use models that are explicitly allowed.
The whitelist will only be activated if at least one model is allowed.
Managing allowed models
The whitelist displays all models installed by the team owner, grouped by provider. You can:
- Click individual model checkboxes to allow or disallow specific models
- Use the header checkbox to select or deselect all models at once
Changes are applied immediately.
The whitelist only applies to members with a Pro or Enterprise subscription.
Use cases
- Cost control — limit team members to cheaper models to manage credit usage
- Compliance — restrict usage to approved model providers
- Consistency — ensure all team members use the same models for reproducible results
